I know there was a bug in the 4.4.3 version that it wasn't paying attention to the host caching level (moderate, heavy, etc.) that became a problem on busy sites here such as dotnetnuke.com. Unless your site is very active, it shouldn't be a big problem though. How is caching handled and where is it stored via host settings?

I'm running DNN 4.8, and it is a pretty active site.

Page State Persistence: Page
Module Caching Method: Memory
Performance Setting: Heavy
Authenticated Cacheability: ServerAndNoCache

You may want to try storing module caching on disk.

Problem is imho not caused by caching. I will bet you have UserID=-1 in table Forum_Posts. I just solved the same problem at my customer's website. Quick and dirty solution:

  1. find records which have UserID=-1 in Forum_Posts. You can't delete them directly because they have FK in Forum_Threads.LastPostedPostID
  2. change LastPostedPostID value in belonging Forum_Threads table to next correct post (if there are more posts in this thread)
  3. delete posts with UserID=-1 or change to existing UserID

Maybe you will find better solution with Forum_Posts.UserID=-1 problem here
