Can someone please help me with the DNN blogs.  I'm setting up a website for my Home Owners Association, I am wanting to have numerous blogs that anyone can update, such as blogs for crime watch, social functions, restaurant reviews, classifieds, etc.  I've been creating some test blogs but I don't like what I have so I'm trying to delete them, but the same blogs come back!  How do I get rid of them so that I can start over?  I don't see a way to uninstall the blog module and then re-install it.  Can someone help?  Thanks.

Hi Mike

The blog module can be frustrating when you first start using it.  The one thing to realize with the blog module is that blogs are associated with one user account, but I gather you're already that far.

To remove a blog, there are three levels to be aware of.

  • You can remove the blog module from a page.  This does not delete the blog.
  • You can log in as the user associated with a blog (or as host or admin I believe) and delete the blog from the Blog Settings page.  This deletes a blog.
  • You can completely uninstall the blog module.  This removes the blogs and the module from that instance of DNN.
