I am slowly learning how to do things in dotnetnuke. I have made my site, the content, and the skin the way I want it. Now I am ready to replace it with my existing site.

Question: I know dotnetnuke is pretty much similar to phpbb and coppermine. Once you have it installed, you configure it and skin it. Now to start accepting registered users is there anything special I need to do?

ensure, that you entered correctly the admin email address and check smtp server settings in host::host settings. In portal settings choose the desired registration type. that's it.
