I upgraded DNN3.1.1 to DNN 4.02. I believe I followed the instructions to the T. Copied the Key's to the new web.config file, set IIS to ASP.NET 2.0, Set the Connection strings, Set the Install date and Turned off Autoupdate when done. Everything installed and updated. The site opened fine and I thought all was well. I was so excited. However......................I can't add anything new. Here is just one example. DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Cannot insert the value NULL into column 'ModuleID'. I get the similar results on other tables when trying to do any updates. Everything worked fine on the same system and database before the update.

Does anyone have any ideas? Is there another setting I missed somewhere? All the logins work fine.

HELP!

I am looking to upgrade from 3.1.1 to 4.0.2. Are there specific instructions out there? I have the docs, but am not sure where to begin. I don't need to upgrade to source. Thanks. Tom

Hi, I would be glad to write a step by step. Are you updating on a local machine or a remote host? If remote which host are you using.

Tom

Hi Tom, thanks so much for the kind offer. I actually found out my hosting provider (websecurestores.com) had a starter kit that handled the install. Of course there were issues with SQL 2005 upgrade, but their support is top notch. I am up and running. Thanks again for the offer!
