Hello Forum,

I have been reading thru the forum regarding setting up a secure login in DNN 4.8, however, I get bits and pieces here and there.  Can someone show me step-by-step how to setup a secure login in DNN 4.8.  I would like to set it up like what www.dotnetnuke.com did.  I'm running IIS 6.0 and has installed the certificate.  Please show me step-by-step from IIS and DNN 4.8 configuration.  I'm new to DNN and has installed all the default out of the box.  Thanks in advance.

Hi hismightiness,

I have seen and try the instructions you have posted, however, it did work for me.  My comment from the instruction is, how does DNN login link (on the upper right corner from default) would know it needs to be secure from the page you would add?  What I'm trying to do is what should I do to secure the login when I click on the login link on the upper right corner of DNN version 4.8.

Thanks for your quick response.

If you follow the instructions, the page will handle that for you when you set the setting in its page settings.

Hi,

Beyond the instructions provided, you also need to do the following:

  1. Login as the portal admin.
  2. Select Admin, click Site Settings.
  3. Expand Advanced Settings, expand Security Settings.
  4. From Login page:, select the secure login page that you created.
  5. Click Update.

Thanks,

Akbar
