Help!!

Hi All

If some one could help me please, I loaded DNN 4.8 and running well I set all up and spent about a week tailoring it all, My son decided through the hosting package to install another programe that was free wth my hosting provider but hit the install DNN on my site again, Now he stopped it during the loading period by closing the window but I can not log on and get a blank page now pointing to install, I deleted the default.aspx file and tried to point to the portal 0 which still is there and contains all my mods and files but still not working, in the DB folder I notice that there is a backup database but I do not know how to go about reinstalling it. Can any one point me in the right direction i do not want to go through the whole set up again.

Regards

Rab

Rab,

If you are getting a blank page that is pointing to install you might have a portal Alias problem.  Go into your database and open your portal Alias table make sure that it is not pointing to the install package.  I can not say for sure that this is the problem, but I would defenetly take a look at it

hope this helps

Mike
