Oops.  Didn't mean for that entry to wrap.

The Match was set to  [^?]*/TabId/36/EntryID/(\d+)(.*)

And the Replace With was set to ~/Default.aspx?TabId=54&EntryID=$1

It looks like maybe you put the blog module itself on the home page?

What if the blog module was on another page, and on the home page you show the latest posts RSS, or something...

You might give Ventrian's News Articles a try- it has a "latest posts" companion module, puts the article/post title in the page title in a configurable fashion, AND paginates...

Don, great post... but a big problem.  Very likely user error on my part, put here's what happened...

I went to the friendly URLs and made the changes per instructions, following along with the video.  I thought I did it right, but clearly not.  As soon as I hit save on the new rule, I was taken to the welcome page of my site (which is under construction and the homepage is set up with a "coming soon" screen for unauthorized users).

Now for the fun part: when I clicked on Login to get back into the site, I couldn't get to the Login screen!  At all.

Clearly, I did something wrong.  Hopefully I can figure out what that is as soon as I get the site restored to where it was last night.

Everything will turn out well, I'm sure.  Any guesses as to how I managed to hit the dreaded red button?  (no, no, not the RED button!  )

Thanks!

~Kim

I think there is a workaround to this (which Don guided me to - thank you Don). Use BlogDisplay as the summary display and use a dedicated page to display teh detailed page. You can see how this is done on my website: www.subodh.com

As I suspected, ID10T (user) error.  Got it working now -- Don, thanks so much!  The video was a life saver!
