Hello,

There seem to be problems sending emails through my website to just one particular host - @rambler.ru.  When an automatic email is sent to a new user with the email adress from them I get the following error:

Reason: Remote host said: 550 <contact@linguaplay.co.uk>: Sender address rejected: undeliverable address: host mail.linguaplay.co.uk said: 550 Sender is not allowed. (in reply to MAIL FROM command)

What does that mean and how do I address this?

Hi,

If you google "SMTP 550" you will notice that this message is related to mail relay settings, chances are that your mail server does not allow message relays.  If you have your own mail server, changing the relay settings are easy.  If you are using a hosting provider, then all I can say is good luck, as most providers will not allow message relays.

Regards

Julian
