Mike,

I have tried both of these solutions. Niether worked.  Below this message iis the IIS logs when I attempt to navigate to the site.

So I get the prompt for the windows login, I can successfully signin then, the only issues seems to be the prompt when you navigate to the site. Ideas? Thanks, Robin

Robin I put the web app on my website (http://dnn.gmss.org under AD Provider Betas) that I quickly did up to help Vineet in this same thread. Give that a shot and let's make sure that it's not related to the AD Provider.

Mike,

Thanks for the help. This program helped me determine the problem.  I believe that the issue was the the microsoft issue of the invalid credentials  or the automatic login in IE(http://support.microsoft.com/kb/871179). When you provided the program I tested on the server and it was working properly but on the machine I tested, the persons machine we were using, the person had logged in as a different account so the IE was not set up as the prior account. Therefore we are fairly certain that it was the credentials or the automatic login that fixed the problem.

Thank you,

Robin

Sorry for starting another thread, you can delete it.... now that I've found this one. :)

I ran your test files, and it worked exactly as you said it should except when I modified the security on the default.aspx file it still prompted me to enter my credentials rather than auto-logging me in.  I'm not sure what that tells me, but what does it tell you?

The display did show the correct domain and user information, after I entered it at the IE-generated login popup.

My issue is that DNN won't seem to auto-login using the AD authentication.  I have everything set up as it should be, according to many other posts (you could post the contents of my other thread into here, Mike, if that would help), including having the file security set as it should be (anonymous off, integrated windows authentication) on the appropriate file.

I'd love some assistance, as this is the last thing I need to sort out before I do some final testing before putting the site up for the staff.

Thanks,

Marc
