Hi,

I have a relatively easy problem. Basically I'm moving my DotNetNuke site from my Development server to the Production server. Now what seems to be happening is that everytime I go to the Production URL, it redirects me to the Development site. I checked out some of the posts here and found what I think is possibly the solution which is to edit the PortalAlias table. The thing is, when I go to the DotNetNuke database, I can't even see any table at all in that database. I've checked both the Production and Development databases but there's just nothing in there. I'm using SQL Server Studio Express 2005.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks!
-Alf

Your production and development sites should each have its own database, and the database needs to be populated.  You might be able to get away with restoring a copy of your existing database to use for your other site, but you will then need to change the portal alias and then clear the DNN cache.  Otherwise, you are looking at a fresh install to get the database installed for the new site.
