Hi All,

I am attempting to run the install for DNN4.8. I have VS2008. Everything goes fine, I test the connections etc and get no errors. However, when the install gets to installing the database scripts it seems to stall. The progress bar is running but nothing seems to be happening...I've left it for 10 mins and it just gets nowhere.

Any Clues?

I am with the same problem. I have SQL Server 2005 e Visual WEB Developer.

I've got the same issue running on a new Vista box with VS2008 Express & DNN 4.8, .dotnet 2.0 & (3.5 add to see if it would fix it - does not) are installed and can not get past the point of database scripts in install. I have run the installation & scraped it off to the same results.  Any help would be appreciated - thanks

(DNN could really use a better setup guide and installation/configuration notes area - I'd be willing to addd it and maintain it on this website.)

I think this may solve your problem ( from previous thread) Are you running Vista?

I haven't gone through it myself yet, but I am getting them same error.  I will update later as of my results.
