Hi,

I wish to create 12 UDT forms each one to be used for purchasing a meal.
Can I have a subtotal field or a reference numeric field they would check when purchasing a meal in each table?
Would I be abe to total those to show and store the total?
Of course I would like to do this with just one  table, but I have not been able to make calculated fields work, Could someone show me how to sum say three fields in a multible field table.

Trying to make a simple registration form for a conference where members could register for what  meals they'll need.

Thanks

The DOC's are great but sometimes the simplest things left out cause us that are trying  to learn hours of trial and error  that just result in fustration.

John,

I do not understand, why you need 12 UDT instances, can't you put all menues into a single record? you can use calculated fields for numeric calculation based on the other fields and also use aggregation functions like "sum([field])" to add up the calculations.

Hi Sebastian,

Today is my birthday, what a present you have provided me. I have been trying to do Totals on the UDT module for 6 months. I tried the SUM(field) and of course it did not work I left out the enclosing [ ] brackets. I must have forgotten to mark the Notification box also. I just checked back for another shot at an answer for this problem and came across your answer.
I wished you would put this in the DOCUMENTS I'm sure it would lead the way for a lot of people to understand what they can achieve with the UDT Module.

Great Job Thanks so very much
John
