Hello

Re: DNN 4.5.05

I have a strange problem which to my knowledge has only recently appeared, I have not edited anything recently on this site, so I dont know what might have caused the error.

A small section of the The Control Panel is visible to all:  Mode: View or Edit  radio buttons.  How can I remove  this from the view of visitors to the page?

Thanks

Lynn

I've got the same problem with DNN 4.08.0. The behavior seems random on a per-page basis. Although all pages have exactally the same permission settings, all pages but one have the Mode: View or Edit radio buttons on the top of the screen when anyone views the site.

make sure, there is no edit permission granted to any module on the page. if you need to grant edit permission on a module, enter "-1" as caching value in module settings.

I was having the same problem and just discovered that if any module on a page has Edit permission set for All Users or Unauthenticated Users, then the Control Panel will displayed for that page regardless of the page permissions.

Go into Admin, Site Settings, Advanced Settings, Usability Settings, and set Control Panel Security to Page Editors.

That's probably the culprit.
