This has been mentioned elsewhere, but I just discovered the problem, and think this is worth being noisy about.

In the older version of the Blog, the blog entry's title appeared as part of the page title.  Now, the page title is just the name of the blog, and doesn't reflect the blog entry's title.

This has had a profound impact on my site's SEO.  Most of my site's articles were in the top 2 or 3 of typical Google search results.  Now, they aren't in the top 10.  And when they do appear in the search results, the uninformative page title gives the searcher no reason to click the link.

Please please PLEASE what can we do to fix this?  I view this as a serious bug because of the major negative consequences.  Was there a reason this was changed?  Because I can't understand it at all.

Please advise.

We really need resolution on this. There was a big deal made about changing a tag to H2 for SEO purposes, but this is a HUGE problem for SEO and dropping my sites down. Anyone have an interium solution or can we get information on fix?

I am sure that someone could modify the source for the module to fix it, but it is going to take a while before the fix will be complete.  Due to the release tracker process alone.

It's just a temporary workaround, but we created a quick and simple module which addresses this issue for the DNN Blog module.  Just install it and add it to the page(s) which contain the DNN blog module.  It will read the blog entry title and show it in the pages title tag.

Source is included and it's free for the community to use as needed.

I have just created a ticket about this issue in Gemini seeking re-introduction of this key 'Unique title tag per blog entry' functionality. See the ticket here.
