Is this after you tried to apply a user to a role? Verify that the AD provider pulled in all of the users information.

I got the same error, new 4.8 install. It happened on applying a role (administrator) to a domain admin account. I got the error, but the Role did get applied.

Same question. Did you verify that all the required information for the user was pulled in? IE: email account.

Hi, I've duplicated this using 4.8.2 and the 1.0.3 AD provider that came with it. The user was added to the role, though. I am using impersonation if that matters, I had to configure it in order to access LDAP, the last step in the verification would not work until I did. I now get the green OK icon, and the authentication is working OK from the windowssignin page and from the AD tab on the login control. It is not auto logging from the top URL, even after clearing cookies. Anyway, I'm glad to be using this provider again, it sure has come a long way since the original code by Tam, huh? -- Roberta
