Hello All,

I have just created a module that runs a couple reports from one of our sql databases.  in total it switches between two different gridviews.  Everything works perfectly except now we want to add the functionality to print the content of the gridviews.

dnn has a print button that displays on each module the problem is that when I run a report and click on print to print the report dnn brings up a seperate page and loads the module from scratch so that I have to run my report again.  This is not acceptable for what we want to do.

Is there a way that I can configure this button so that when I click it the report I have already ran comes up, or is there another easy way to do this

Thanks in advance

Mike

You could create your own button and pass the needed parameters so you could re-run the report automatically.  You simply add on 2 parameters to get the printable view.

If you add ?SkinSrc=%5bG%5dSkins%2f_default%2fNo+Skin&ContainerSrc=%5bG%5dContainers%2f_default%2fNo+Container and dnnprintmode=true to the query string it will show the printable view.

Accepted Answer

I chose to go a different route with this one.  Since I was using a ASP gridview, and sqlDataSource in my module I decided to use a session variable and pass my datasource to a new page.  I then added a button that did a postback to that page, and then I rendered the gridview on the new page.

Problem solved

Thanks for your help

Mike
