It is not taking the direct website name but if i am going by

http://localhost:XXXX/<WEBSITE NAME>

XXXX is the port number and then the website name then its coming. can you tell me is this a right way to go by.

And can you tell me how to run my website as it is on the web.

And can any one tell how to add login module. iam trying to add it but i am not able to see the text boxes where we need to enter our USERNAME AND PASSWORD.

Major question:  Did you install IIS?  If so, is your DNN installation in IIS as per the installation document?  Or did you install the Starter Kit?

Yes IIS is installed. and i did the installation throuth the starter kit that is provided online.

I will just brief you how i did the installation.

-- i first run the starter kit

-- then in the VS 2005 followed the steps

-- Made the database

-- did the installation on the AUTO mode.

--Then opened the portal on clicking the link in the last.

Note: i have made virtual directory also. and the website is placed in INETPUR>WWWROOT

I guess the question is "How to open DNN Portal project using solutions file?".

I am also looking for a way to open DNN Project using solution file instead of opening VS and then select a solution.

Also How to Change default Install location to somewhere on my custom location ?
