I just used the sitemap  creation tool at auditmypc.com ( very good btw)  to creat a sitemap.xml file.
I have saved this in the portal root & the host root but  i get a file not found if i type www.website.com/sitemap.xml

Does  anyone know the cause or fix?

Also , after reading this thread am I correct to assume that sitmap.xml  is more effective that  than the sitemap.aspx?

thx

Tony

I think because you must link to http://www.website/portals/portalname/sitemap.xml

sitemap.xml is bad choice for dynamic site, if you add a page you must update your xml file, with dynamic sitemap generation like sitemap.aspx it is automatically generated every times you call the sitemap!

It's IIS 7 that is 'blocking' the  xml pages.

It's that way out of the 'box'

I've decided to set the default priority from .8  to .5 and gone back to using the dnn generated sitemap for now.

Hello,

Any news for a multilingual development ??? As explained on my DNN tutorial for multilingual website, it is a crucial point, and today, I do not have any module which do that (correctly) for Ventrian News Article...
