hi.

I downloaded all the documentation package and I read the introduction installation document. Then I downloaded the startup kit (dotnetnuke 4.0.2) to use with my visual studio 2005. The installation was ok, but I am not able to see the dotnetnuke template when I try to create new website.

any hints about what could be wrong?

thanks to all in advance

I think it only works on the Visual Studio 2005 Express version.

In the odd chance that you missed it: here is a tutorial on how to use the starter kit: http://forums.asp.net/1114393/ShowPost.aspx, and there's a pretty good tutorial here as well: http://adefwebserver.com/DotNetNukeHELP/DNN_Module4/

Are you sure the install went ok? If you run the starterkit.vsi file, (which takes only a few seconds), you should be able do choose "DotNetNuke website" when you select "New Website" in VS2005

hi,

thanks for the replies.

I will take a look at those links, I do not have vb.net installed in my computer, only c# and c++ and wonder if this can be the cause, since DNN was made in vb.net and all the tutorials indicate vb as website language

I tried to install it. It did not show up in VS2005, only in the Express version.
