I am implementing a Menu (using SPMenuField) in Asp.Net2.0 web part using the MenuItemTemplate object. I found that there are three methods to handle the click event on a menu item.

  1. ClientOnClickNavigateUrl  - opens up the specified Url
  2. ClientOnClickScript - custom js function
  3. ClientOnClickUsingPostBackEventFromControl(Control c, string argument) - guess it does postback

My requirement is to fire the click event of an ASP.NET button control by clicking the menu item. I believe that the ClientOnClickUsingPostBackEventFromControl()

will help me meet the requirement. But could not figure out how to use it.

Please help on using the ClientOnClickUsingPostBackEventFromControl() method

Tahanks in Advance
