I used these technique to incorporate rounded corners into my design.

I actually used this idea to make containers, but you could easily cut-paste the markup inside a table cell to make the table appear to have rounded corners.

Something you should know also, a div tag always expands to fit the available space, whereas a table cell shrinks to content width. A span tag also shrinks to fit. Experiment with a combination of the three to find a solution that works.
