Hi

I am using DNN 4.8.0.
In my site, the default language is "English".And further I have uncheked the options "Enable browser language detection ..." and "Enable language parameter in url..."  in both Admin > Languages and Host> Languages.

Then I have a user with the preferred language as "Svenska(Sverige)".

But when i logged in with this user it wont display the contents in the correct languge above mentioned.

I have installed the language pack for "Svenska(Sverige)" and when I change the default language in to this, it is display the contents in the correct language.

Can anyone help me on this scenario.

Thank you in advance.

Indika

I experienced the same problem with my installation. I managed to solve it by checking the preferred locale in my user account (I usually log as Administrator). You should check if it is set to english on your account too.

Hope that helps,
Dario Rossa.

Can it be that the setting of the language in the users profile is setting up to English?

As I mentioned in the original post, I had set the users preffered locale to "Swedish".

Is there any other setting that I have missed in my installation.

Thanks

Indika

Does it behave correctly, if you enable option "Enable language parameter in url..." in Admin :: Languages?
