If this portal supports it, you can optionally request your password by providing this email address. In this case you do not need to provide the username.

Hi, this message is in the password reminder page. Does DNN core support retrieving user's password with the user's e-mail address or do I need a custom module to do that? I tried it here (this DNN website) and it does not support retrieving the password with the user e-mail.

Thanks for any information on this. I need users to be able to retrieve their passwords by typing their e-mail.

I believe this will only work if you have unique email adresses in the database.

To make this work you need to change a setting in web.config (requiresUniqueEmail in the DNNSQLMembershipProvider setting).
