It looks as though it is trying to authenticate (invalid password) but no users (host, admin, or end users) ever get logged in.

RESOLVED......

When I was looking at the ASP.net setting in IIS 6, I noticed that the authentivation type was set to Windows. Change to forms and all is well. I find this interesting because This site has NEVER used windows authentication.

Hope this helps someone :)

I think anon and basic authentication are the default for IIS6.
