Hi gang,

I'm currently running 4.6.2 in production and I am wondering if there are any good features or bug fixes that I can be enjoying if I upgrade to 4.8.1.  I am especially interested in anything related to the following:

  • enhanced google integration
    • webmaster tools
    • analytics
    • adwords
    • adsense
  • friendly URLs
  • ajax

Also, I use a number of 3rd party modules so I'm curious if there are any unpleasant surprises people have found.

Thanks in advance for any feedback,

--Bruce

Bruce,

You can have a look through the Gemini change log to get a detailed listing of the changes...but there have been some changes to AJAX that have been included with the newest release.

I do know that at least with 4.8.0 there was an issue with the CBO object not being able to handle the hydration of objects with nullable data elements and that could cause some issues with modules....

I personally am still on 4.6.2 myself.....

4.8.1 is also a bit more xhtml compliant.
