I just noticed that soon after the BODY tag for all pages of a DNN 4 installation there is paragraph of code that includes an href to the URL of a prior web host (which used to host these DNN portals). Here it is, with only the name changed to protect the guilty. How did that get there, what does it do, and how do I get rid of it? Thanks!

It's probably somewhere in either the site's default.ascx file or the site skin's ascx file. The host probably added it for advertising purposes.
If you can find the text, it should be safe to delete.

Thanks, that was close enough to lead me to it. It was in SiteHeader.aspx which is called in default.ascx. Actually, that was all that was in in SiteHeader.aspx (the first part of the code I posted above, before the "form").

What's the purpose of SiteHeader.aspx? I never found a way to get that link to the host's site to activate. I left the paragraph coding there without any content, but I don't know where that shows up.
