Greeting All,

 i tried to create a Skin its .ascx based it went all good till i uploaded.. when i applied it it went fine it picked up the css and everything but the only problem that occurs it removed all the conents on the portal.. and when i tried again to singin to remove the skin its not letting me IN ( not showing the login area ) the browser do hit the page in adress bar but i don't see anything in the Content area..

 i added 1 Content Pane , 1 right pane and 1 bottom pane.

can any1 help me please

You likely are viewing the site in Design Mode.  Try logging out and see of you can see content.  If so, log back in and, look for the "Design" link in the control panel.  Click on it.  If you are using version 4.8 of DotNetNuke, it's labelled clearly as a Radio Button.  In earlier versions, it's a bit hidden.

Hello,

 thank you for replying back... actually i can't even see the TOP Pannel ( the control pannel for the admin/host ) when i apply this skin to any of dnn portal while been in HOST this removed the TOP pannel automatically and even don't show the conent ..

 i have uploaded the 1st look of the portal when we simple open the port it can be viewed at :

and this is the layout i see when i try to login the port ..

nothing changing at all..

You can delete all teh skins manually if you can browse the directory.  Just delete all the skins you don't want out of the appropriate portalroot\skin folder.  Dont' delete the default ones though (dnn-blue and gray)

Then next time you open the website and log in as admin it'll show a red error at the top, but the blue skin will be back, and you just go into the skin menu, and apply the blue skins and containers, the error will go away, and you can then attempt to fix the problem again.

 

post the ENTIRE code of the .ascx and HTM files.

Is there an HTM file in your package?  if so you know it'll overright the ascx file when you upload it right?:
