Hi,

I just installed 4.8.1 release of DDN. Install went fine, with no problems.

After install, when I was supposed to be redirected to my new first portal, I got following error (the same error is written to event log):

[ArgumentNullException: Value cannot be null.
Parameter name: path1]
   System.IO.Path.Combine(String path1, String path2) +2717499
   DotNetNuke.UI.Skins.SkinDefaults..ctor(SkinDefaultType DefaultType) +127
   DotNetNuke.Common.Globals.get_DefaultSkin() +31
   DotNetNuke.Entities.Portals.PortalSettings.GetPortalSettings(Int32 TabId, PortalAliasInfo objPortalAliasInfo) +2812
   DotNetNuke.Common.Globals.GetHostPortalSettings() +216
   DotNetNuke.Common.Globals.GetPortalSettings() +79
   DotNetNuke.Authentication.ActiveDirectory.HttpModules.AuthenticationModule.Init(HttpApplication application) +198
   System.Web.HttpApplication.InitModules() +267
   System.Web.HttpApplication.InitInternal(HttpContext context, HttpApplicationState state, MethodInfo[] handlers) +1251
   System.Web.HttpApplicationFactory.GetNormalApplicationInstance(HttpContext context) +243
   System.Web.HttpApplicationFactory.GetApplicationInstance(HttpContext context) +106
   System.Web.HttpRuntime.ProcessRequestInternal(HttpWorkerRequest wr) +214

Anybody?
Thank you.

Are you using the Active Directory provider or did you install it just because it was there? If you don't need to use it then comment out the last <add name="Authentication".... /> line in the <httpModules> section of your web.config.

If you do need to use it then you can download a fixed version of the AD provider from http://dnn.gmss.org.
