I think I read in the release notes that in 4.8.1 it's supposed to be possible to include javascript in one's skin in some 'automatic' way.

Is there any explanation of how to do this??

Otherwise I have to script it into my ascx file...I found code for doing this.

I also found something elsewhere for including extra per-page css files too.

Thank you, Tom

you should be able to do something like this in your ascx file: < script type="text/javascript" src="<%=skinpath%>/js/myscript.js"></script>

The change in 4.8.1 is that you can now include .js files in your skin package (which was not allowed in previous dnn versions)

Hello,

Thanks for responding, do you mean the ascx file for the skin file itself??

Where exactly though, so it's in the correct place in the HTML header??

There's no obvious place to do this in the skin's ascx files, are you referring to some other ascx file??

Thank you, Tom
