Hi,

I've been considering replacing the old Enterprise Events module that I've been using for years with the current (03.03.08 ) release of the core events module, but, I just can't.

I've struggled for more than 30 minutes just trying to get @#&^%^@ list mode to work. No matter what I changed I still got month mode... I followed all the suggestions in this forum and I still got month mode.

Finally, wondering if it was something a stupid as browser sensitivity, I finally switched from FF2 to IE6 and to my utter astonishment, there was a list.

Unfortunately my customer wants their site to work in FireFox and they need an event list on the home page.

I guess I'm going to have to stay with EE for now.

[Getting on my High Horse]

Ya know... I've been using DNN ever since v 2.2 and I try out the core events module about every 6 months or so, but, it never rises to the level of stable software. Even open source, volunteer code need to work. I can't use for my clients, so I'll stick with the old events modules.  And now I really worried, DNN has moved on far enough that many of the old simple mods are starting to fail. What am I going to do for a simple calendar module?

I do really wish I had the time to help out here, but now I don't. (I've got 3 small kids and a farm as well as my consulting biz).  Is there any way to cut out the extraneous features in this module and just make a simple calendar/event list module?  Can we have a simple calendar and an advanced calendar PLEASE!!!!  The complexity of this mod must be contributing to its downfall and prevents the use of a core tool.

Please make a simple calendar and test it on IE and FF!

[Falling off my High Horse]

Thanks for your work, but please release something that we can use.

Try using Disable Category Select from the module's settings.  This is a known issue if the default view for the module is set to List.

I did disable the category selection and that may have made the control work in IE but not for FireFox.

Has anyone else solved this one?

I am having the oposite problem.  IE7 will not change to any other view than Month view. Also, list view looks very similar to week view.  Is that what it should look like? Thanks.

Is this still an issue?  I would like to be able to display the list view by default, and have the Category Select available...
