Hi,

I want to place in dnn files and data witch only 1 user may see. What is the best way to get this secure.

For example i want to place a pdf file with information of a employee on the portal but i only want that this employee can see this (If admins it can see isn't a big problem).

Or a customer bills i only want that this customer can see this.

I want this information so secury as possible, buying a module isn't a problem.

With standard out of the box functionality I believe you would need to setup a specific Role for each user, and then define file permissions in the file manager to specific folders for each role. Probably not the quickest of methods, but functional.

One of the most powerful Documents modules is from Peter Donker, you can check it out here

I haven't used it though to see if it would provide the specific functionality you're looking for.

Thanks, i'm checked the webite bring2mind.net only i've got a sql 2000 server so this won't work. When the sql server is getting upgraded it could be a good module.

For now I wil test with the permissions from file manager

bring2mind also has free userfiles module, that works with SQL2000 and DNN 3+
