In a nutshell, I am running XP Pro, which is recently updated with all Windows related service packs, patches, et al, prior to installing SQL Server 2005 Developer Edition and then VS 2005. IIS is also installed. I downloaded most recent DNN starter kit, ran it, and the initial DNN framework does not appear, but when I look in  New Project--Visual Basic--Web menu in the New Project pop-up when running VS, I see the DotNetNuke Compiled  Module, but there's nothing inside of the New Web Site pop-up. Tried shutting off the firewall and it made no difference--when I look at the folders from VS directory  I see the DNN modules all there as zipped folders--anyone have any ideas about why it's not installing?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Sean:

See the tutorials by Michael Washington here: http://www.adefwebserver.com/dotnetnukehelp/

Start with "Introduction to DotNetNuke Module Development" then review "Setting-up Your Development Environment".
