Using the Documents module, I would like to associate a JPG image with each document that is uploaded. The image would be uploaded at the same time the document is uploaded (like the Repository module). My goal is to display a small image next to each document in the list. (My documents are PDF documents--I want to show the first page of the PDF as a small JPG next to each one.)

What is the best way to do this?

Should I modify the Documents module to upload an image when a document is uploaded? Is there an existing module (for sale) that already does this?

I know you already answered this question, but I'd still like to know if it is indeed possible to modify the documents module to allow the upload of an image for each document to show document type for example the word icon for a word document?  If so, do I need the source download or can I do the modifications with the preinstalled documents module.  I don't like the look of the repository module, I really like the simplicity of the documents module, but I'd like to add that image to the left of each document.  I'd really appreciate your feedback on this.  *leela*
