Hi,

I just upgraded to 4.4.3.  I have a page with two Feedback modules on it.  When I try to "Send" from one of the modules, I get an error in the *other* module saying "You must enter a message", and nothing is actually sent.

Is this a known problem?  Is there a workaround?  What have I done wrong?

Also - a separate issue:

When I upgraded, the existing modules on the page didn't show the new menus (e.g. the List items in the menu).  Only once I deleted the old modules and created new ones did the menus show up.

this seems like a limitation of the module. Validation of one module is triggered by the other. There is no workaround for that, other than codechanges..

This worked fine in the 3.x version, the problem only started after I upgraded to latest.

Is the limitation a per-page limitation, or per-portal, or ???

i.e. Am I OK if the modules are on separate pages?

Thanks,

   Bob

I would say the limitation is per page and not per portal. You can have multiple instances on different pages and you will not see this error. I'll have to take a look and try it out with 2 or more instances on the same page but I'm pretty sure I'll get the same error as you did. In the 3x days we got an issue whereby if there was an instance of the feedback module on a page and the person tried to submit any other form - it would not allow them to do so because the validation on the feedback form was preventing the submission. To work around this, I added a validationgroup to the feedback form and I believe this is what you're running into with multiple instances on the same page.

This has now been addressed in version 5.0.0 which names each validation group separately. This way you can have multiple instances of the feedback module on the same page. 5.0.0 is entering beta testing this week.
Thanks
