What is it that you are trying to accomplish by compiling the source?  In most cases, that isn't something that you should need to do.

Unfortunately the information you have provided will almost certainly prove insufficient for anyone to be able to help you.  Some details that you might consider adding that will aid us in assisting you:

1) Did the source compile prior to your custom modifications?  You should generally make sure everything is compiling correctly before executing any additions.

2) You specify the general nature of the error, but did not give us any line or file information, or any additional context about the issue.

3) You didn't mention what version you are attempting to compile.
