no, there are several controls affected at registration page, including /controls/app_localresources/user.ascx and /desktopmodules/autnetication/dnn/app_localResources/Login.ascx.resx

Still no luck with this. And the two controls above seemed to have nothing to do with the register page since I tried deleting all text in both of them and it didn't affect anything.

Emildorbell,

Please check my post dated 5/16/2008 9:13 PM, on this forum thread.

On that post, look for the files you may need to check and see if you find what you need.

HTH.

Saludos,

Alejandro.

Thanks for all the help! I got most of it translated now but still missing: "Preferred User Information All fields marked with an asterisk (*) are required." Any takers on where it's hiding? :)

Sure, emildorbell,

The texts you mention are stored in the following folders:

Preferred User Information
DNN up to v4.5.5    ~\admin\Users\App_LocalResources\ManageUsers.ascx.yy-XX.resx
DNN v4.6.0 and up    ~\App_GlobalResources\SharedResources.yy-XX.resx

All fields marked with a red arrow are required.
DNN up to v4.5.5    ~\admin\Users\App_LocalResources\ManageUsers.ascx.yy-XX.resx
DNN v4.6.0 and up    ~\App_GlobalResources\SharedResources.yy-XX.resx

Note: yy-XX is the culture code (i.e., en-GB, es-ES, etc.), for US english yy-XX does not exist.

Suggestion: The fastest way to look for these messages is to use any search tool directly on the Windows Files Explorer (such as the ordinary Search tool), setting it to look specifically into *.resx files. Of course, you should also set the tool to perform a recursive search starting from your DNN installation's primary folder.

Good luck!

Saludos,
Alejandro.
