I think your scenario would be ideal for me. I'd rather have nothing at all than the mysterious blank email. It's embarrasssing to be sending totally blank emails all the time. I spent a lot of today backing up my forum content and will see what my more technically proficient business partner thinks we should do. I hope reinstalling the forum helps. I'm also having trouble with moderation--moderated Users are told their posts are awaiting moderation, but voila, their posts immediately show up in the forum. Then other Users (same Role) do get moderated.

Thanks for your help. I'd still love an answer to when they project the new forum release will be out.

Jennifer

I can not give you a timestamp when the new version will be released. It needed it time to fix some problems, and then it will first be tested.  We announce on this side if a new version is availible.

Hi Jennifer,

I don't use moderation and I cannot speak with authority.  AFAICT the behaviour you describe is what happens for a 'trusted' user.  Ie the user sees the message 'You have posted to a moderated forum...' but the post does show up straight away.

I know of two places you can fidde with this - General Setting - Trust New Users, and Forum Users | <Pick specific user> | Trusted User

You are not alone!

I have had this for a while now, but no luck sorting it at all. I am using DNN4.6.2 though, and have setup a clean test installation and database here -> http://208.106.211.27/ which has the exact same problem.

No users get notifications, apart from a blank notification on deleted posts.  If it can help resolve the problem, any volunteers/interest parties are welcome to admin access to see the settings.

Hope we can find the problem... and a solution!

David

PS. I don't even get notifications from DNN's forums!

Richard,

Is that the email you get as a moderator or as the user posting the thread?
