The Languages area allows you to change the login module text, but not the Login link text of the [LOGIN] part. It changes from "Login" to "[username] Logout". but I need to change the hyperlink that says "Login" to another phrase and I can't figure out where to change this. Does anyone know the answer?

you can change login in language editor (file /local/admin/skins/app_localresources/login.ascx.resx), but you cannot use tokens, sorry.

Don't think so hard, you can modify the text by either:

  1. <dnn:LOGIN runat="server" id="dnnLOGIN" Text="MyText" /> if you develop ASCX skin
  2. insert the following attribute in the skin.xml file if you are developing an HTML skin
    1. <Objects>
         <Object>
           <Token>[LOGIN]</Token>
           <Settings>
               <Setting>
                       <Name>Text</Name>
                       <Value>MyText</Value>

               </Setting>
           </Settings>
         </Object>
      </Objects>

Hope this helps!
