Hello,

I'm installing dnn on a belgium webserver, but they don't give full access to dnn (rights). So i called the support and they said to me, that i can install dnn only in medium trust.

So i renamed my development.config to web.config and try to install it and i get this error:

This configuration section cannot be used at this path.  This happens when the site administrator has locked access to this section using <location allowOverride="false"> from an inherited configuration file.

</httpHandlers>
Line 119: <!-- set code access security trust level - this is generally set in the machine.config -->
Line 120: <trust level="Medium" originUrl="http://www.mywebsite.be/.*" />
Line 121: <!-- set debugmode to false for running application -->
Line 122: <compilation debug="true" strict="false">

What can i do? What did i do wrong?

thx,

Thomas

Hi Thomas,

Try removing the OriginUrl attribute from your web.config.  If this does not work, remove (or comment out) the entire <trust> element.  Your provider has prevented you from modifying one of these elements, and since you are forced to use their configuration, setting these values explicitly is not necessary.

Note that in either scenearo, you will not have set an originUrl.  This may prevent you from using local webservices.  It will not effect DNN out of the box, but could impact custom development along these lines.

Hope this helps!

Brandon
