Fantastic Echo!   I was able to login the way you recommended which is a HUGE step.  It is quite possible that she removed the login module.  I added the Account Login module to the main page, but it doesn't seem to work right, and also I can't use the logout feature.

What exactly should I add?

-Thanks

Dan

I played around with it, and foung a way to fix the problem.  Under site settings I set the home page to be the login page (it was not defined). And now both logins and logouts work normally.

Question:  I checked my other portals, and none of them have a login page defined.  Can anyone provide some insight on this?

I believe that DNN creates a page for logging in during the installation. It is possible that this page was deleted from your portal without a new login page being defined in the site settings. I'm glad you were able to get it figured out.

Thanks again!  I'm going to create a new portal and try to break it, to see what steps can cause this problem.  But for now the site in question is up and running.

Another thing that happens is some people mstakenly set both their home and login pages to be pages that require authentication and end up sending the site in a loop.  If you have access to the database you can access dbo.portals and go to the correct portal and change the login page to be null. This resets the login to the default.
