I have two DNN installations on a remote host, a DNN 3.1.1 installation hosting a single portal and a DNN 4.0.2 installation. I would like to merge the two installations on to the DNN4 platform. Both installations now have significant content which I would prefer not to lose. Therefore,I would like to migrate the DNN3 portal content (including users) to the DNN 4.0.2 installation.

Is this possible? If so, what is the best way to do this?

What I was hoping was that there was either a software tool or a defined procedure that could be followed to merge the databases. Am I to assume that the lack of response to this post suggests that nothing exists? If this is the case and no migration tool exists then just confirmation of this from a DNN expert would help and I could start on the laborious cut and paste approach.

I'm in the same boat as you.  I have a 3.0.2 server with about 15 portals on it, and I want to go to 4.0.2 on a seperate installation.  I'd love to find a tool that would allow me to compartmentalize a portal's content, users, and other necessary stuff and save it off to some media where I could then "restore" it to another platform.

If any other folks out there have gone through this or have some wisdom to share, I'm sure it would be appreciated by both myself and Mr. Web Assembly!
