Which one is good? Which one is less complicated for the end user? Which one has good support? Which one is almost like Myspace? Are there any other modules which lets us create Myspace with DNN? Your thoughts and time is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

The only thoughts I have ... well I guess there are quite a few. I noticed today that Smart-Thinker.com now allows you to download and try it for free, which I am doing and will let you know.

I am developing a small, but rich featured, local comunity site and this type of functionality is practically assumed. I can see that Smart-Thinker.com's has come quite a long ways in the past few years since I started looking for this.

The features I am looking for are integration with Forums, Reviews and stuff like that. It seems like when you go to other sites and log in, like facebook, or imdb or yahoo or anywhere that the site knows who you are and allows you to comment on anouncements and other items. Perhaps I am expecting too much? Some logins follow you accross domains and in diferrent companies sites like Live Id (Passport), facebook allows me to comment on other sites and then logs me into facebook to record the comment there. I don't need that. But within my own local community site I would like people to comment, blog, and have lists of friends and favorite establishments and the like.

I can see that the users abilities can get very nebulous and extensive, but a few features in this area really need some work. I am using some modules which upload all users pictures (such as pictures in their HTML text) into the same folder as everyone else. That doesn't seem prudent. Most of my users are well behaved but accidents happen.

I will let you know what I find out soon. Thanks for your interrest in this subject.

I too am looking for one or the other.

From what I can tell so far MyProfile is better functionality wise and that may also why it seems more popular.  The downside is that it seems like MyProfile users are left begging for information and support in DNNFusion's forums. I have purchased one of Smart Thinker's modules and the support was good.  Another nice thing about SmartThinker is the groups module. But I have seen some posts in DNNFusion's forums where users have been able to integrate MyProfile with SmartThinker Groups.

Apparently DNNFusion is working on a new version so for me the jury is still out.

After installing Smart-Thinker's MyProfile and trying it out a bit, and reading DNNFusion and Smart-Thinkers forums it is looking like MyProfile is the one I will be using. It intigrates slightly better to way better with core modules and seems to be moving forward more. Not ready to right DNNFusion off yet but some people in their forums are. I think this type of module is important enough to the community, and to my site, that I will be back in here with an update for you after I have more fully implemented it. Smart-Thinker also has a Wall like Facebooks wall that I think will come in handy for comments.

I am going with smart thinker modules. I am trying to impletement them on my website. They are rigid but I think they look more professional. Myprofiles is good for a teenage website. You can change the background and stuff. Although, I wish Smart-thinker had it's own pic gallery and an easy way to edit profile. I think Myprofile will make the website look messy given that the users can move the modules anywhere they want.

Actually, I think I went with Smart-thinker because of the support. I am needy. I need lot of support since I woke up one morning and decided to have websites. I visited DNNFusion website (forum) and there are questions/issues that are unanswered for 6 months! I need support and I think Smart-thinker provides it. I also honestly think if you know about html and stuff you can do a lot with smart-thinker.

I have also heard that Myprofile is coming with some new features...
