A user usually goes through a number of roles in his/her history of being administered by a DNN System.  It would be cool if one could keep track of the development.  Does anyone know if something like this exists?

Are you talking about registered user, through to editor, administrator etc?

If that is the case -I'm not sure - all I know is that when you update the security roles, the user gets an email notifiying them.

That's all I know about the existing roles - Perhaps you'd need a module written for tracking?  I haven't heard of this being a requirement before, so I've learnt something today.

High Nina!

Yes, I think you have understood me.  I made this post - but there doesn't seem to be an interest ... http://forums.asp.net/1198620/ShowPost.aspx

In various organisations to which I belong, I myself have gone through different roles which are sometimes overlapping.  The role administration of the DNN System is more like a slice of a balony - it tells me who is in some role right now.  But lets say someone retires, or dies and we want to write up a history of him/her in respect to the roles (s)he has had in the organisation - well it would be there at our fingertips.

Such a module could be of enormous value to the administration of smaller organisations.  I guess it would need to cut into a core module - when ever a role change is made, or find other ways to track changes.

FYI: We're moving away from the Asp.net forums. Please use DNN forums for all future posts
