I am new to DNN & have installed ot on my site a few days back. The site is in production.

Users have already used the DNN part the site & there's quite a bit of data already in DNN's DB. Now, I want to make some changes & develop a custom module for it.

I would like to replicate DNN & its database on my localhost, & then work on with the customizations before applying them to the production environment. I have archived the entire DNN root folder on my localhost from my Hosting server, and also the backup of the DB.

What are the steps I should take (including the modifications to DB & files) to run this backup on my localhost???

Please help!!! Changing hosts is a very common scenario. I believe many people would require help regarding this.

not any other more changes, just need to modify the portalalias for your domain name, for example: localhost/dnnsun ->www.dnnsun.com
