Hi

I am using DNN 4.4.1. Looks like the registration allows special characters. Can anyone tell me how to disable special characters for registration.

If that is not possible, can anyone let me know the list of special characters that DNN allows me during registration.

Thanks for your help.

If you log in as a host or admin and go to admin->user accounts, click on "manage profile properties". Now you can click the pencil icon to the left of any property and edit it. This allows you to select type, visibility, length and also allows you to specify a regular expression the value must pass i.e. in your case the alphanumeric regular expression listed first on http://regexlib.com/Search.aspx?k=alphanumeric would probably meet your needs.

Cathal, how would I disable the special characters in the users' username?  I understand about strength but I need to disable the capability to add a space in the users' username because my LMS (Learning Management System vendor does not recognize space in the username.  Thanks.
