The new BBC website allows visitors to configure which menus (or modules) they see and choose what content is shown in each.  If you haven't seen it yet, try www.bbc.co.uk

Visitors can even move the individual modules around the page.

Does anyone know if there is a DNN skin, commercial or free, that can do this?  I know that we can configure collapsible menus, columns, etc. but I'd like to let the visitor choose what content they see and define their own page style.

Not the skin / modules doing it. (At least I am not "aware" of a module. In general there are tons of javascript all over that site. I have built a similar site using asp.net/ajax/silverlight. Just never thought about building it into a DNN site, have to give the Brits just due's pretty brillant. Geez now I am going to have to see about how to put / develop it into a DNN site. If we could simplify the process then it could really throw DNN into / past Web 2.0 era. lol

Go on!  Give it a go.  Would love to use it.

Funny thing was, just last week I thought....'Wouldn't it be great if a visitor could choose what content they see on the front page and BANG...the BBC beat me to it.

Mind you, they 've got more budget than I have.

You can already drag modules in DNN if in admin mode, it's hardly used I think and it doesn't work that smooth (quite some delay), but the base is there...

I don't see where the BBC site is DNN.  The effects are basic Web 2.0 functions, Microsoft has a starter kit for this out.
