I have used the even control version 030308 and have a thought.

When scheduling two events in "a row" the representation of the events gives the impression that the two events overlap each other even if they do not..

For example:
The first event is scheduled between 19.00 and 20.00.
The second event is scheduled just after the first, from 20.00 to 21.00.
Then it looks as if the two events does overlap each other, but they do not. The only solution to this is the change the scheduling the events as for below:

The first event is scheduled between 19.00 and 19.55.
The second event is scheduled just after the first, from 20.00 to 21.00.
With this scheduling it looks as if the two events are planed in a row, without overlaping.

Is there any other solution to this? Would it be possible to fix this for coming version of the component? Is there a schedule for new version of the event-calendar control?

Peter,

I assume you are meaning in week view. I can see what you mean. I have raised on Gemini here - http://support.dotnetnuke.com/issue/ViewIssue.aspx?id=7314&PROJID=11. I do not see this as being fixed in the next release, since I don't see it as strictly being a bug. This means it would probably go into the following release.

As for all the work on DNN, the teams do not commit to release schedules. You can always follow the Roadmap/Issue log on Gemini to see how far along the list os issues for the next release. Depending on how many new bugs are raised, we are well down the coding side of the next release.

Cheers

Roger

I think, there is a solution to this:

Edit the EventWeek.ascx in line 36 from:

<cc1:schedulecalendar id="schWeek" runat="server" Weeks="1" StartDate="2007-01-14" StartOfTimeScale="00:00:00"
         EndOfTimeScale="1.00:00:00" TimeScaleInterval="30" CellSpacing="0" StartTimeField="StartTime" EndTimeField="EndTime"
         Layout="Vertical" RepetitionCount="1" ShowValueMarks="True" GridLines="Both" IncludeEndValue="True" StartDay="Sunday"
         OnItemCommand="schWeek_ItemCommand" TimeFieldsContainDate="True" CssClass="WeekTable">

to

<cc1:schedulecalendar id="schWeek" runat="server" Weeks="1" StartDate="2007-01-14" StartOfTimeScale="00:00:00"
         EndOfTimeScale="1.00:00:00" TimeScaleInterval="30" CellSpacing="0" StartTimeField="StartTime" EndTimeField="EndTime"
         Layout="Vertical" RepetitionCount="1" ShowValueMarks="True" GridLines="Both" IncludeEndValue="False" StartDay="Sunday"
         OnItemCommand="schWeek_ItemCommand" TimeFieldsContainDate="True" CssClass="WeekTable">

Change only the "IncludeEndValue" to "False".

Cheers
Renato

Hi Renato,

I've posted this as a proposed change on Gemini.
