I've a problem with my website. My dnn 4.4.1 installation contains 2 portals. Since last week i can't login to one portal with IE. Firefox, Opera and Safari is no problem. The other portal doesn't give the same error. The error looks like i've entered the wrong password. But I tested it 200 times. I've cleaned up my cookies and temporary internet files. Nothing works. Even on a clean machine. Somebody experienced the same problem in the past?

Has you web.config been altered?  Often, this is a result of the Machine keys being changed.

I'm sure the machinekey has not been changed. I've hosted more than 15 dnn sites, all using the same machinekey in de web.config. I've checked it out. Nothing has changed. Could it be something else?

Check the current machine key(s) against your backup copy. The only other possibility is an incorrect connection string or objectQualifier that is using a different database then you expect. You can test that using the default login parameters.

Problem solved. In internet explorer, when you click on the login button, nothing happens. When you hit enter on the keyboard the website gives a error. So we thought this could happen because of a problem in our skin. The two portals are using different skins. I've created a page with the standard skin of dnn. With this skin I can login with internet explorer. I'm going to inspect our skin for some missing tag. Thanks for your efforts to help me
