good day every body....

I tried to use the Gallery module but it does not work.....am wondering if there is any alternative idea to make simple photo Gallery in my website.

it is just html table that will contain the thumb nail and once user click on this thumb it will take him to the larg phot.

I know how I can do this with normal html, but how can I do it with DNN.

I thought of this idea:

1. I will add htm txt module which will contan this table.

2. uploading images then insert them as image in my tables.

3. but here is the problem: what I need is once the user click on this image it should take him to the large photo but it does not work with DNN.

is there any one can help

thanks.

Well, if you are looking for a Simple Gallery, then I would check out Simple Gallery.

Thanks,

You can do that in the Text/Html module.  Go here http://northstarcamaroclub.net/ClubHistory/tabid/76/Default.aspx to see it working.  I have the link set to open in a new window.  The image can be setup as a link.

-Insert your picture using the Insert/Edit Image button.

-While in the Image properties popup, click the Link Tab

-Choose Browse Server

-In the Link Gallry popup, choose file.

-Point to the picture you want them to see, then click the "Use Selected Link"

-Choose where you want them to open it (target).  I used New Window (_blank) for the example above.

In the above example, I have the picture and the link looking at the same jpg, but I resized the one in the html module.

As for slideshows and whatnot, I like the UMG 4 module.  Worth every penny.

You might try Live Images. Basically once you do what you've already described and add a simple tag, it gives you a cool slide show of your photos. Not free, but cheap.

You can find it at Snow Covered...
