Successfully installed and updated DNN on Godaddy, with install not in root directory.  I have a domain WXYZ.com that shows a 404 error when http://WXYZ.com is typed in.  http://WXY.com/dnn/ does get to the site.

How do I get users to be able to type WXYZ.com into their searches and come up to it?

I know it is a redirect, but I am, quite frankly, clueless as to how to write or do one.  I have a tiny bit of knowledge from looking around as to what should be done, I just can't do it.  Likewise, I have no idea where I would put such a redirect.

Any help is appreciated.

I had the same issue w/ Go Daddy.  Try creating a index.asp page and place under the root directory with the following code :

<%@ Language=VBScript %>
<%
Response.Status="301 Moved Permanently"
Response.AddHeader "Location","http://domainnamehere.com/dotnetnuke"
%>

Personally it is best if you don't have other content to get DNN installed at the root.....it can be done on GoDaddy but it isn't easy.....
